UDUF Africa marked a significant milestone on Saturday, March 14, 2026, as it successfully hosted its March Business Meeting, Mentorship Session, and General Election at Onitsha Business School, GRA, Onitsha. The event drew young leaders, entrepreneurs, professionals, members, and guests united by a shared vision of business growth and leadership development across Africa.
The Founding President of UDUF Africa, Dr. Ezuma Smart Chinedu, hosted the meeting, welcoming participants and setting the tone with a strong emphasis on mentorship, collaboration, and the power of community-driven leadership. The energy in the room was electric as members prepared not only to learn but to shape the future of the organization through a democratic election process.
Mastering the Art of Selling
A standout highlight of the day was a business presentation delivered by Christopher Uchenna, President of Earth Manager's Group and CEO of GEEPCHRIS Bridge Enterprise. Speaking on the theme "The Art of Selling, Negotiations, Deals, Profit and Market Success: How To Sell a Competitive Product or Service," Uchenna walked participants through the core professional skills every entrepreneur needs to thrive in competitive markets.
Key areas covered included the art of powerful negotiation, striking meaningful deals, crafting indisputable offers, and executing strategic advertisement. Participants were reminded that great negotiation begins with listening — not talking — and that confidence in business is built on deep knowledge of one's product or service. A particularly practical takeaway was the advice to simplify choices for customers. Rather than overwhelming potential buyers with endless options, entrepreneurs were encouraged to present solutions clearly, ideally offering just two options at a time to make decision-making easier.
On pricing, Uchenna offered a refreshing perspective: customers rarely object to price when an offer genuinely solves their problem. When budget is the concern, the smart move is to first understand the customer's financial capacity, then tailor an offer that meets both the need and the budget. The session closed with a strong message on advertisement — that buying decisions often begin emotionally, before any logical analysis. Entrepreneurs must therefore present their products in ways that immediately show customers what to see, value, and desire.
Book Review: Built to Last
The meeting also featured an engaging book review of Built to Last: Successful Habits of Visionary Companies by Jim Collins and Jerry I. Porras, facilitated by Comr. Owan Erico Itesi. Participants explored how lasting organisations build strong values and leadership systems that carry them through generations — a timely lesson for the young entrepreneurs in the room. The discussion revolved around core ideologies, preserving the core while stimulating progress, and creating mechanisms that align culture with strategic ambition. Many attendees noted how the principles of visionary companies apply directly to building sustainable personal careers and businesses.
UDUF Africa General Election 2026: A Historic Moment
Perhaps the most anticipated segment of the day was the UDUF Africa General Election 2026, conducted peacefully and transparently with 44 eligible members voting on-site.
